     Mozambique.] (Med.)
     The root of a plant (Jateorrhiza Calumba, and probably
     Cocculus palmatus), indigenous in Mozambique. It has an
     unpleasantly bitter taste, and is used as a tonic and
     antiseptic. [Written also colombo, columbo, and
     calombo.]
