     formaldehyde.] (Chem.)
     A polymer of formaldehyde obtained as a white crystalline
     substance by concentration of a formaldehyde solution.
     Formula (CH20)n. It dissolves in hot water with the release
     of formaldehyde, and is used as a disinfectant.
