  Peppergrass \Pep"per*grass`\, n. (Bot.)
     (a) Any herb of the cruciferous genus Lepidium, especially
         the garden peppergrass, or garden cress, Lepidium   sativum
         ; -- called also pepperwort. All the species
         have a pungent flavor.
     (b) The common pillwort of Europe (Pilularia globulifera).
