  Malleable \Mal"le*a*ble\, a. [F. mall['e]able, fr. LL. malleare
     to hammer. See Malleate.]
     1. Capable of being extended or shaped by beating with a
        hammer, or by the pressure of rollers; -- applied to
        metals.
