     (a) An American marine food fish of the genus Menticirrus,
         especially Menticirrus saxatilis, or Menticirrus   nebulosos
         , of the Atlantic coast; -- called also
         whiting, surf whiting, and barb.
     (b) The opah.
     (c) The common cero; also, the spotted cero. See Cero.
     (d) The queenfish.
