  Rochet \Roch"et\, n. [F., dim. fr. OHG. rocch coat, G. rock.]
     1. (Eccl.) A linen garment resembling the surplise, but with
        narrower sleeves, also without sleeves, worn by bishops,
        and by some other ecclesiastical dignitaries, in certain
        religious ceremonies.
