  Upholster \Up*hol"ster\, v. t. [See Upholsterer.]
     To furnish (rooms, carriages, bedsteads, chairs, etc.) with
     hangings, coverings, cushions, etc.; to adorn with
     furnishings in cloth, velvet, silk, etc.; as, to upholster a
     couch; to upholster a room with curtains.
